Welcome fans of Lacey Dancer. We hope you will take a few minutes to look over the website, read about the books I have written, purchase copies and perhaps take a few minutes to write a review on GoodReads or even Amazon. You are able to purchase autographed copies of each of the books directly from me using our online store. The Water Dancer is a jeroboam of a book, a crowd-pleasing exercise in breakneck and often occult storytelling that tonally resembles the work of Stephen King as much as it does the work of Toni Morrison, Colson Whitehead and the touchstone African-American science-fiction writer Octavia Butler. It is flecked with forms of wonder-working.

Mao's Last Dancer is a fantastic book. It is about a young boy who lives in a family with 6 brothers, in poverty in China, and Cunxin, his name, is chosen, when he is 11, to be part of the Beijing Dance Academy. He takes this chance, and studies ballet, as well as school subjects, there, for 5 years. The Water Dancer Summary. The Water Dancer is the first novel by Ta-Nehisi tells the story of Hiram Walker, who is born into slavery on a Virginia plantation called Lockless. i liked this book, but the protagonist was almost written to be unlikeable. While in the end she is sympathetic, you spend 90% of the book feeling like she is the antagonist. I say this as someone who recommends this book, but is warning future readers that you should only embark on this journey if you love the series and are patient.

This is the dramatic story of an atrocity inflicted on generations of women, men, and children.
